Minecraft AFK energy cost calculator

See what an always-on PC really adds to your power bill

An always-on PC uses electricity every hour it runs, so AFKing in Minecraft 24/7 adds a real cost to your power bill. Enter your PC's wattage, daily AFK hours, and local rate to see the monthly and yearly total - and how much you save by AFKing in the cloud instead.

Per year -
Energy / month -

How the cost is calculated

The math is simple: wattage is converted to kilowatts, multiplied by the hours you run the PC, then multiplied by your price per kWh - and projected to a day, month, and year. Your real bill will vary with system load and tiered rates, but this gives a close estimate.

Why AFK in the cloud instead?

Run the same account through afkclient.pro and it stays online from our servers instead of your PC. Your electricity cost for AFKing drops to zero, your computer isn't running hot overnight, and a Wi-Fi drop or power cut at home won't disconnect you. For many players, the power saved covers much of what the client costs.
